Hartford is the capital of Connecticut and this is also the seat of the Hartford County until such time the state has disbanded the county government in year 1960. As of the census in 2010, the population of the city was 124, 775 that made it’s the 3^rd biggest city in the state after New Haven and Bridgeport. Census Bureau estimates indicated the fall of the city to 4^th place statewide. This was the result of the sustained growth of the population in Stamford, a coastal city.
